Currently, at the end of Key Stages 1 and 2, all pupils in Years 2 and 6 take Standard Assessment Tests (SATS).

In Year 2, these tests help to inform teachers to make their professional teacher assessments of pupils in reading and mathematics.Writing and science are assessed solely by teacher assessment.

Year 6 pupils are tested in reading, mathematics and grammar, punctuation & spelling (GAPS). Writing is assessed by means of teacher assessment.

By the end of Year 2 and 6 pupils are expected to achieve the Age Related Expected (ARE) standard.

Year 1 pupils are tested in the Phonics Screening Check.

We are very proud of our children and their results in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The children worked incredibly hard alongside our skilled and dedicated team of teachers and teaching assistants.

Each year, the school reports to the Department for Education data on its pupils (the School Census), its workforce (the School Workforce Census) and its finances. The Department for Education combines this data with the most recent Key Stage 2 SATs results to provide an overview of the school’s performance. On the same website, you can also look at the performance league tables and compare Park St CofE Primary School with other schools locally and nationally.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection

The school is normally inspected by Ofsted every three years. Our last inspection was in January 2014, when we were rated Good.  You can read some of the highlights in this slideshow and the report is available to download from here together with previous reports.

If you would like to tell Ofsted what you think about the school, you can use their Parent View website. Click on the logo to follow a link to the website.

Our most recent SIAS inspection

As a Church of England school, we are also subject to a separate SIAS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools) inspection. You can view our latest report on the Ely Diocese website, where you can also find general information about the inspections.
