PE & Sport Premium

Physical activity has numerous benefits for children and young people’s physical health, as well as their mental wellbeing (increasing self-esteem and emotional wellbeing and lowering anxiety and depression), and children who are physically active are happier and more resilient.

The school receives PE & Sport Premium funding based on the number of children in years 1 to 6.  The funding must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport for the benefit of the children on roll in the academic year for which it is awarded and to encourage healthy and active lifestyles.
